Jacob Dewayne Climer, age 20, of Henderson, died October 8, 2014 near Quincy, Illinois while working on a barge, The Charlie G, on the Mississippi River. He was born on May 1, 1994 in Jackson, TN, the son of Dewayne and Tracy Climer. He graduated from Chester County High School in 2012.
Jacob is survived by his parents Dewayne and Tracy Climer, his brother, James Redmond, his fiancee Haylee Clayton and daughter Seraphina Michelle Climer all of Henderson, TN. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Judy Phillips Wallace. He is also survived by his close friends Caleb and Jessica Hudson and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jacob will be remembered for his constant smile and his ability to make you laugh. He found humor in almost everything. The family wishes to share our memories with others as we celebrate his life. This will be an informal event, please come as you are.
“A Tribute to Life” event will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Mifflin Mall on State Route 200, Luray, TN from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. The “Tribute to Life” presentation will begin at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to Jacob’s young family. They can be made at the event or at Regions Bank in Henderson.
