Jacob Aaron Elrod, Sr., age 40 of Pleasant View, Tennessee passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30AM, Friday, November 22nd, at EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View with Bro. Jim Graves officiating. J.J. Moulton, Justin Leibfritz, Wade Moore, Stevie Duke, Caleb Cantrell, and Brian Felts will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Thursday, November 21st from 5:00-8:00PM, and again on Friday beginning at 10:00AM until 11:00AM and then proceed to the graveside at 11:30AM.
Jacob was born on September 26, 1984 in Nashville, Tennessee to Kenny & Marlena Taylor Elrod. He was a diesel mechanic for over 20 years, most recently employed as a mobile tech with Cumberland International. He enjoyed camping and ATV riding with his son, and was a big Buffalo Bills fan.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ronald Taylor, Sr. and Martha Elrod.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Jacob “Aaron” Elrod, Jr.; brother, Jeremy (Rachael Anne) Elrod; sister, Amanda (Ben) Binkley; grandparents, Millie Taylor and Earl Elrod; nieces and nephews, Taylor, Brody, & Boone Binkley, Atticus & Theodore Elrod; and numerous loving aunts, uncles & cousins.
