Jackson R. Barnes, age 87, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 10, 11 a.m. to noon at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The service will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel with Brother Charlie James officiating. Interment will be at Greenview Memorial Park.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Barnes was a member of Washington Park Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals and retired from Bob Blanke Sales. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Barnes, his mother and father, Leo and Edith Barnes, and brother, Rudy Barnes.
Survivors include sons, Ronnie (Denise) Stafford and Wayne (Janie) Stafford;
grandchildren, Chet (Bridgett) Stafford, Wesley (Delina) Stafford, Guy (Emily) Stafford,
and Andrea (Mark) Brown;
a host of great-grandchildren;
nephew, Mike (Debbie) Barnes and nieces, Janet and Debra.
Mr. Barnes will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
