Mr. Jackson “Jack” Embler, age 76, of the Hampshire community, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at his home following an extended illness.
Jack was born on February 17, 1938 to the late Griffin Embler and the late Cynthia Runions Embler in Hampshire, Tennessee. On July 21, 1966, he married Fay Vaughn and they raised a family together. Jack served honorably in the Korean War. He worked as a machinist for twenty-six years for the Dana Corporation. He was a hard worker all his life.
Jack was of the Christian faith. He was known for his love of hunting in the winter and fishing and trapping in the summer. He was a member of the Tennessee Free Trappers Association.
Mr. Embler is survived by his loving wife: Fay Vaughn Embler of Hampshire; sons: Leonard (Rose) Embler and Andrew Wayne Embler, both of Hampshire; daughters: Beth Embler Shrake and Sarah Embler, both of Hampshire; honorary son: Henry Vaughn of Hampshire; grandchildren: Kandice (Carson Tripp) Embler and Kye Embler, both of Hampshire; brothers: Dan (Jett Flatt) Embler, Douglas Embler and Larry (Teresa) Embler; several nieces and nephews and “all the creek kids”. In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his brother: Farris Embler; sisters: Reba Sanders and Louise McIntyre.
Funeral services for Mr. Embler will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Eric Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at Sheboss Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Thursdays, May 22, 2014 from 5:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. at the funeral home.

Kye Embler, Farris Embler, James Vaughn, Clifford Cates, David Vaughn and Jesse Vaughn will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobo Morgan, Danny Goodman, Gary Whitehead, Toby Atkisson, Braider and Wire Rounders at Dana Corp., Robert and Shirley Green, Dee and Diane Gordon, Bonnie and Gary Riley and Demps Brewer.
