It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jacklyn Virginia Kane, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Jacklyn was born on January 22, 1937, and peacefully passed away on August 26, 2024.

Jacklyn was a devoted mother to her children and a loving grandmother to her 13 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 15 great-grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to caring for and nurturing each and every one of them.

Jacklyn was known for her kind and compassionate nature, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering love for her family. She was a pillar of strength and support, always there to lend a listening ear, offer words of wisdom, and provide a warm embrace. Her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In addition to her role as a devoted mother and grandmother, Jacklyn was a cherished friend to many. Her warm smile, gentle spirit, and caring nature touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her memory will forever be cherished.

Jacklyn Virginia Kane leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of her family and the memories of a life well-lived.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Dale) Sheaks, Michele Kane, Charity (Charles) Mountain; sons, Chuck Kane, Michael Patrick (Connie) Kane, Dennis Allen; grandchildren, Justin Thompson, Jessica Thompson, Cody Thompson, Venna Thompson, Chase Thompson, Haley Womack, Heather Sheaks, Scott Sheaks, Makayla Kane, Kenneth Kane, Veronica Hughes, Dale Sheaks Jr., Matthew Sheaks, Corey Sheaks, Courtney Sheaks, Megan Roden; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Lechliter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Leatha Lechliter; husband, Charles Kane; daughters, Christy Karp, Jackie Allen, Melissa Kane, Vida Kane; grandson, Andrew Sheaks.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
