Jackie Payne Skipper, 85 of Athens, passed away on Thursday, October 29th, 2020, at his residence. Mr. Skipper was born on December 6th, 1934, to James Vernon Skipper and Mary Bernice Skipper.
Mr. Skipper is survived by his daughter Patrice Skipper Sanders (Forrest) of Hendersonville, TN; son Brian Skipper (Sherri) of Athens; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Skipper was a member of First Baptist church of Athens. He was an Army veteran and involved with the Alabama Athens Veteran’s Museum. He was also active in the Lions Club of Athens, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you make donations to the Alabama Athens Veteran’s Museum in Athens, and the Lions Club of Athens, Alabama.
