Jackie Faye Hester died December 11, 2022, at her home. She was born July 27, 1944, in Lee County. She is the daughter of Jimmy Lee “Buck” Fowler, and Hazel Juanita Hunt Fowler. Jackie married Ben Earl Hester and they were married for 45 years until his death. Jackie was a seamstress and supervision at Lee Sportswear until its closing. She enjoyed crocheting, spending time with family especially her grandchildren and siblings, and her morning coffee. She attended Richmond Pentecostal Church.
Jackie is survived by her sons, Brian Hester and his wife, Savannah, of Saltillo, and Bradley Hester of Saltillo; two grandchildren, Nikki Brown and her husband, Matthew of Evergreen Community, and Katie Cook and her husband, Justin, of Blue Mountain; three great-grandchildren, Jackie Bray and her husband, Jason, Hannah Kelly and Tarja; one sister, Betty Stults of Mooreville, and Mike Fowler of Brookland, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Buck and Hazel Fowler; husband, Ben Earl Hester; two sons, Rickey Hester, and Timothy Hester; and brother, Jimmy Lee Fowler.
Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Pegues, Tupelo.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Rev. Rickey Pierce officiating. Graveside services will be at Andrews Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Stults, Lynn Stults, Scotty Stults, Michael Wood, Barry Ford, and Randall McCollum.
