Jackie Douglas Benard, age 76, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2025, in Tunica, MS. Born on November 12, 1948, in Humboldt, TN, Jackie was known not only for his dedication to service but also for his vibrant personality and love of life.
Jackie dedicated twenty-four years of his life serving in the United States Air Force, where he exemplified commitment and honor. His military career shaped him into the respected individual he was, admired by his colleagues and friends alike.
Outside of his professional achievements, Jackie had a zest for life that was contagious. He found joy in shooting pool and relished the freedom of driving with the top down in his convertible, embodying a spirit of adventure and enjoyment that is rare to find.
Jackie’s legacy will be carried on by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Sun Hwa Benard, and his children, Michelle Benard Biehl and her husband Chad, and Stephen Alan Benard and his wife Monica. His grandchildren, Aubrey Elizabeth Benard, Zoey Adelyn Benard, Cody Biehl, and Gage Biehl, reflect his joyous spirit and the love he shared with his family.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, beginning at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 6:00 PM. in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors.
