Jackie Bishop, 70, of Toney passed away Monday, March 13, 2023.
Mr. Bishop is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Nancy Carter “Bitsy” Bishop; son, Casey (Misty) Bishop; grandson, Jaxon Bishop and granddaughter, Addison Bishop; sisters, Diane White and Glenda (Buzzy) Collins; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Parvin Bishop and Leroy Wikle Bishop.
Mr. Bishop was a retired Madison County District 4 employee and a skilled carpenter. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Bishop loved watching his grandson Jaxon in competition racing of open wheel and late model cars and his granddaughter in dressage horse riding exhibition and competition. He enjoyed barbequing with family and friends and spending time in his shop. Everyone from family, friends and co-workers have a story about his jokester ways and his love of a good time. He will be sorely missed by all.
At the request of Mr. Bishop, no services are planned. Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
