Jack Nolan Looney – Obituary

Jack Nolan Looney, 87, formerly of Cabool, Missouri and recently of Tuscumbia, passed away after a 16 month illness on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Jack grew up in Morgan and Winston Counties, and finished high school in Danville/Speake. He moved to Detroit, Michigan and worked in the auto industry for 30 years retiring from GM Cadillac. He trained horses and dogs all his life. After retiring he bought a horse farm in Cabool, Missouri and spent the rest of his life doing what he loved, breaking and training horses. He loved trail rides, horse shows and his family.

A memorial visitation will be held at the home of Mike and Nickie Campbell on Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mr. Looney was preceded in death by his parents, Morris Lloyd Looney and Geneva Woods Looney; sister, Lorene Looney Campbell; and brothers, Maj.Morris G. Looney and Maj. Quenten S. Looney.

Survivors include his son, Roger L. Looney (Zhang Xiao Yan) of Shanghai, China; grandchildren, Jack Looney and Kaitlyn Looney of Shanghai; and a host of nieces and nephews.
