Brother Jack McCalpin was called from labor to refreshment by the Supreme Creator on Friday, March 11, 2016. Jack was 73 years old and a resident of Tuscumbia. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 in the funeral chapel with A.G. Stepp officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Jack was a member of the Little Bear Creek Baptist Church and the Littleville Masonic Lodge #881.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail McCalpin; parents, Robert Leonard and Winifred Mahan McCalpin; and brother, Robert McCalpin.
Survivors include sons, Allen Odell McCalpin, Leonard Wayne McCalpin; daughters, Cynthia Renae Armstrong, Angie Horton; brothers, Wade, Roger and B.B. McCalpin; sisters Sue Cross, Patricia Strickland and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Chad Patton, Tyler Mann, Clayton Moore, Kenneth Johnson, Don Simpson, and Leslie Rutherford.
