Jack Mayland Carroll – Obituary

jackJack Mayland Carroll, 91, was called home to be with our Lord on September 3, 2016. In keeping with his wishes, Jack passed peacefully from this earth at home in the care of his loving family.

Born July 19, 1925 in Arab, Alabama, Jack and his wife Lucille have lived in Huntsville since 1950. A World War II Veteran and Bronze Star recipient for service in the Philippine Island Campaign, Jack began working as a machinist for General Electric / Marshall Space Flight Center in 1960. Jack was very proud to have served his country and helped put man on the moon.

Survivors include his two daughters, Pam (Jimmy Clanton) Riddle and Shelia (Malcome) Davis of Huntsville; son Maylon (Debi) Carroll of Massillon, Ohio; brother Reuben (Ann) Carroll of Huntsville; eight grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Services are still pending.
