Mr. Jack Jones, age 83, of Smithville, TN, died Monday, May 15, 2023, at his residence. He was born September 22, 1939, in DeKalb County, TN. He was a member of the Green Hill Church of Christ and a retired general foreman with United Technologies Carrier. Jack was a Fire Chief with the North Warren Fire Department, a nurseryman, and a farmer. He was preceded in death by parents Valton Russell and Emily Tittsworth Jones, wife Gwyneth Jones, brother Billy Mac “Bill” Jones, brother-in-law Glenn Vandagriff, and sister-in-law Wanda Jones.
Survivors include his children Randy (Melissa) Jones, Kevin (Barbara) Jones, and Katie Jones. Siblings include sister Helen Vandagriff and brother Valton Jones. Grandchildren Jessica Jones, Chelsey Jones, and A.J. Jones, and great-grandchildren Lilly Jones and Jack Baskins also survive.
Graveside service and interment will be at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Bluff Springs Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
