Jack E. Robertson – Obituary

JackJack E. Robertson, 75, of Huntsville AL succumbed to cancer at his home on May 24, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Jack, a native of Kennesaw, GA, was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Fred Robertson, and brother, Ben Robertson. Jack was a 1956 graduate of Sprayberry High School. He attended Georgia Tech where he graduated in 1960 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

Jack is survived by wife of 54 years Patricia Robertson; daughters, Kim Riley, Mandy Seckinger, and Jennifer Littrell; brother, Fred Robertson; sister, Gail Lu; and his loving grandchildren, Caroline Riley, Davis Riley, Nevin Seckinger, Avery Seckinger, Grayson Littrell and Anna Littrell; and nieces, nephews and extended family. Jack was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.

Jack retired as an executive with Wyle Labs in 1990 and spent most of his retirement playing golf, relaxing at his cabin in Ellijay, Georgia, reading about Native American history, and painting many subjects that were of interest to him. He spent a lot of time enjoying the landscape of the north Georgia Mountains at the cabin he designed and built with his heart and soul.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 at Laughlin Funeral Home on Thursday, May 29, 2014. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. Jack will be laid to rest at the Huntsville Memory Gardens, Huntsville AL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
