Jack Ridgeway  Mr. Jack Dempsey Ridgeway, age 93, of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Ridgeway was born February 7, 1932, in the Fernbank Community, to the late Ben and Sula Belle (Beasley) Ridgeway.  He was a factory worker at the garment plant, and was married to the late Dorothy (Ingram) Ridgeway.  He was also preceded in death by his brothers, J.B. (Zelma) Ridgeway and James (Rodie) Ridgeway, and his sisters, Loredus (Earl) Napper, Marie (Canford) Hollis, and infant Betty Sue Ridgeway.

There will be a graveside service Wednesday, March 12, at 2:00 PM, at Ebenezer Cemetery, with Jerry Ray officiating.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda (Bret) Lovitz  and Judy (Billy) Perkins, both of Vernon, AL; two sons, Scott (Christina) Hill of Fayette, AL and John (Joyce) Ridgeway of Vernon, AL; eight grandchildren, Chris Donaldson, Bill Donaldson, Alysheia Golden, Tatyano Mayo, Braden Hill, Blake Perkins, Ryleigh Ridgeway, and Ryan Ridgeway; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Katlyn Bryant Norton and her staff at Lamar Family Medicine, and to Enhabit Hospice of Hamilton, AL.
