Funeral service for Jace Pearson Terry, age 70, of Trinity, will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Marshall Turner officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Clardy Cemetery.
Mr. Terry, who died Thursday, July 25, 2024, at his residence, was born January 6, 1954, in Alabama to JC Terry and Frances Corinne Wilson Terry. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jason Lance Terry and Cody Lane Terry; his parents; and brother, John Terry. He was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. Riding horses and rabbit hunting were two of his favorite activities. Jace loved painting and was very artistic. He was quite friendly and enjoyed socializing with family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelsey Terry Wilhite (Sam); bonus son, Wyatt Hill; three sisters, Freda Keil (Darryl), Nell Kitchens, and Jennifer Terry; five grandchildren, Hunter Wilhite, Landon Wilhite, Brayden Woodard, Brynlee Terry, and John Wheeler Terry; and two great-grandchildren, Walton Wilhite and Oaklynn Woodard.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Wilhite, Landon Wilhite, Brayden Woodard, Brody Kitchens, Lucas Terry and Austin May. Honorary pallbearers will be Wyatt Hill, Mickey Terry, Buddy Terry, and Jesse Kitchens.
The family would like to express their special thanks to Southern Care/New Beacon–especially Nurse Sara–for their compassionate care of Jace and the family during his illness and passing.
