Mr. J. York, age 84 of Boaz Alabama, died on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Marshall Medical Center South.
Service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at eleven o’clock a.m. at the McRae Chapel. Interment will follow in the Asbury Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening January 24, 2024, from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. York was born in Alabama on August 19, 1939. He owned and operated York’s Barber Shop in Boaz for many years.
Mr. York is survived by his sons: Michael York & Sherri of Rainsville, Jason York and Heather of Georgia, Daughter: Sandy Greer Powell & Terry Powell of Guntersville, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Mother: Eliza York and Wife: Jean York.
The pallbearers will be friends and family.
