J.W. Steele – Obituary

J.W. Steele, 77, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015, at his home. He was born August 6, 1937 to the late Waggle Steele and the late Jewel Barnes Steele. He retired from Local Iron Workers Union 477 after many years of service. He was a member of Union Chapel Church of God. He enjoyed farming and go to cow sales.

Survivors include his Daughter, Debra (Billy) Johnson of Fulton; Sons: Ricky Steele, Michael Steele of Fulton, and Chuck Steele of Golden; 8 Grandchildren; 10 Great-grandchildren; Sisters: Doris Moore of Mooreville, Bammie (James) South of Mantachie, and Janie Lou Lindsey of Mantachie, Brothers: Doice (Margie) Steele and Cloice Steele of Fulton.

Preceded in death by his parents, Sisters: Nell Clayton and Lavelle Kent; Brothers: R.D., W.J., and Bud Steele; Grandson, Anthony Steele, and Daughter-in-law, Bonita Steele.

Pallbearers will be Richie, Daniel, Stacy, Rider, Tony Steele, Charles McMickin, and Jeremy Johnson.

Honorary Pallbearers are Stephen Lindsey, Chris Lindsey, and Charles McFadden.
