J.W. Ford, age 80, of Albertville, passed away on August 23, 2024. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. The interment will take place at Asbury Methodist Cemetery.
J.W. is survived by his son, Jay Ford (Christian); daughter, Wendy Walters; grandchildren, Lexi Grace Ford, Emma Caroline Ford, Olivia Kate Ford, and Kyle Walters; and brothers, Tommy Ford (Myra) and Michael Ford (Barbara). He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Sharon Ford; his parents, Calvin Autrey and Mattie Verna Ford; his siblings, Autrey Ford, Clyde Ford, Lathan Ford, Sue Sparks, Billy Ford, Bobby Ford, and Mack Ford.
A devoted Alabama football fan, J.W. was passionate about gardening, woodworking, and spending time with his cherished grandchildren. Pallbearers will include Kyle Walters, Lexi Grace Ford, Emma Caroline Ford, Olivia Kate Ford, and Jamie Ford. J.W. is now reunited with his wife, Sharon, and is in eternal rest.
