J.R. McIntyre, Jr. was born August 20, 1929 in Finger, TN, the son of the late John Robert and Ollie Pearl McCann McIntyre. He was united in marriage to Minnie Dee Hester on May 27, 1950.
Mr. McIntyre served two years in the United States Marines. He was a member of Better Hope Primitive Baptist Church. He served 20 years on the Leapwood Community Board and on various farm committees. He loved his family, the Lord, and listening to bluegrass music.
Mr. McIntyre departed this life on March 13, 2016 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 6 Months, 22 Days.
He is survived by his wife Dee McIntyre of Adamsville, TN; a daughter, Pamela Burrow and husband Robert of South Fulton, TN; two grandchildren, John Robert Burrow of Starkville, MS and Alexandra Burrow of San Francisco, CA; a brother in law, Ray Hester and wife Betty of Bethel Springs, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McIntyre was preceded in death by a brother, Roy McIntyre; and four sisters: Lessie McIntyre, Faye Talbott, Helen McIntyre, and Vivian McIntyre.
