J.F. Dancer, Jr.,94, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Magnolia Manor in Tupelo, MS. Bro. Dancer was a Church of Christ preacher/evangelist for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and operating his Ham radio. He also took pleasure in planting and pruning his pecan trees and grapevines.
Survivors include his two children, Cathy Barnwell (Billy) of Beaver Dam, KY and Jerry Dancer of Henderson, KY, three grandchildren, Lee Barnwell (Allison), Evan Barnwell (Taylor), and Kirsten Hoff (Jordan), eight great-grandchildren, Felicity Barnwell, Adalind Barnwell, Brynna Barnwell, Declan Barnwell, Connor Barnwell, Claire Barnwell, Everett Hoff, and Warren Hoff, his brother, Jamie Dancer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Bell Dancer, his brothers, Paul Dancer, and Earl Dancer, and his sister, Jean Vaughn.
Services will be held at 2PM Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with visitation beginning at 12PM, Burial will follow in Hartwell-Tutor Cemetery.
