Funeral service for J.E. White, 87, will be Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis White officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. White died on Monday, April 4, 2016 at River City Center. He was born March 28, 1929, in Morgan County to Floyd White and Annie Derricks Johnston. He enjoyed car racing, Alabama football, going on vacation with his family, and going to auctions. He worked up until the age of 80 years old, as a bus driver for the Birmingham Transit Authority. He never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his wife: Josephine, his parents, a son: Jimmy Dale and a son-in-law: Frankie Stephenson.
