J. Dane Perry – Obituary

Dane was one of a set of twins born to Harold (Red) and Vera Perry (née Crumpton) onApril 21, 1947. His twin, James Dean Perry, preceded him in death, as did both of his parents. Surviving Dane are his older brothers, Harold Edward (Ann) Perry and Michael Wayne (Ann Marie). Surviving Nephews are Jeff Perry (Kim), Timothy Perry (Tina), Lee (Ginger) and Lance Perry. Surviving nieces are Amy (Mike) Long, Rebecca (Joey) Calvin, and Rachel (Justin) Cooper, along with a number of great nieces and nephews and a host of close friends, and associates and his church family. Dane was a congregant of Northwood United Methodist Church in Florence. A graduate of both the University of North Alabama and the Birmingham School of Law, Dane was an attorney with Daniel E. Boone and Associates in Florence, Alabama. He worked closely with both the civil and criminal court system, and was widely respected for his work in both arenas. Dane was an avid sports fan and was a follower of the University of Alabama athletic program and the UNA Lions. A memorial service is planned for Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Northwood United Methodist Church, Rev. Scott Coates officiating. For those who wish to honor Dane, in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to Northwood United Methodist Building Fund or a charity of your choice is requested.

God bless him. He was a good man. He was a very caring good hearted person. Heaven really gained an angel.

Dane was a great man, anyone was lucky to know him. I can honestly say i will miss him. He always said I love you man, I hate that I lost such a good friend. My condolences to his family. Fly high
