J. D. Smith, age 74, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, December 09, 2013 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Pennsylvania Truck Line and an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bertha Lovell Smith; one son, Jeffery Darrell Smith; one daughter, Vicki Anne Little; three brothers, Robert, Doyle, and Edward Smith; and one sister, Kathy Smith.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, December 13, 2013, with Rodney Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Loretto, TN.
