J.D. “Jim” Yarbrough, age 81 of Stevenson, Alabama, went to his eternal home in heaven on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023. He served his country in the Navy as a young man, then went on to a 35 year long career with BellSouth. He served The Lord as a member and deacon of Edgefield Missionary Baptist Church in Stevenson. He leaves behind his wife of 50 years Mable Yarbrough; son Randy (Karen) Owens; daughter-in-law Patty Owens; two daughters Robin (Larry) White and Crystal (Matt) Hastings; brother Allen (Sherry) Yarbrough; sister Shirley (Jim) Fanning; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Marty Owens; parents Tab and Louise Yarbrough; sister Carolyn Pettie; and brother Wayne Yarbrough.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 17th, 2023 at Rudder Funeral Home of Stevenson from 5:00pm until 8:00 pm.
Funeral Services will be in the Chapel at Rudder Funeral Home of Stevenson on Saturday, February 18th, 2023 beginning at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Long Acre Cemetery in the Rash community of Stevenson, Alabama.
