Mr. J. C. Wilson, 76, of Florence, went to be with the Lord Thursday May 31, 2012, at ECM Hospital following a brief illness. Visitation begins at 11am today at Jackson Heights Church of Christ with the service to follow at 1pm in the church with Kelby Smith officiating. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mr. Wilson was a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ and retired from the maintenance department at ECM Hospital.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Sandra Wilson; parents, Claude Wilson and Gertie Hannah; brothers, Gene Wilson, Paul Wilson; grandson, Chandler Wilson. Survivors are his children, James Gary Wilson (Teresa), Melissa Sue Jenkins (Ray) and Anita Lynne Wilson (Jeff); mother of his children, Betty Pitt; brothers, Dennis Wilson (Bobbie) and Steve Wilson; sister, Shelia Zills (Kelvin); grandchildren, Brandon Wilson (Jada), Natasha Holt, Alan Jenkins (Jennifer), Kimberly Jenkins (Michael), Jay Keeton, Bradley Keeton (Dana); great-grandchildren, Devin and Blaine Holt, Braden and Bentley Wilson, Audrey and Avery Jenkins, Faith, Jaden and Olivia Ann-Marie Keeton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jay Keeton, Bradley Keeton, Alan Jenkins, Michael Murphy, Tim Wilson, Jay Wilson and Brandon Wilson.
