Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Mr. J. C. Weaver, age 83 of Decherd. Mr. Weaver passed from this life at his home on the morning of March 31, 2021. He was a Franklin County native and had lived in Franklin County all his life. He and his wife, Carolyn, owned and operated Weaver’s Frame Shop in Winchester for 10 years, retiring in 2007. Prior to operating the frame shop he worked for the Tennessee Department of Transportation as an engineer. He attended the Winchester Church of Christ. Many wonderful things can be said of Mr. Weaver, but the most profound of all is that he was a loving, doting and extremely proud grandfather to his three grandchildren. Mr. Weaver is preceded in death by his mother, Stella Ward Weaver and his father, James C. Weaver, Sr. Also preceding him in death are his sisters, Juanita Weaver Skomp and Joyce Rogers; brother-in-law, Harold Mosley. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Hill Weaver; sons and daughters-in law, John and Laura Lynn Weaver of Winchester and Brett and Tianna Weaver of Chattanooga. He also leaves his grandchildren, Cameron, Emeline and Abbott; sister, Kathy Timmerman of Little Rock, AR. The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home on Thursday April 1, 2021 between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Friday April 2, 2021 with Bro. Joseph Horton of the Winchester Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd. Serving as pallbearers will be Cameron Weaver, Jimmy Long, Scotty Watson, Stephen Boyd, Willie Bonner, Wade Rogers and Gene Hastings. Mr. Roy K. Gardner will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
