Funeral services for Mr. J C McCollum, age 98, are scheduled for 1 PM, Saturday, April 24, 2021 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill. Interment will follow in Scotts Hill Methodist Cemetery. Mr. McCollum passed away at his home in Scotts Hill on Thursday, April 15. He was born April 4, 1923 in Scotts Hill to the late John and Cumi Patterson McCollum. He was a WWII U. S. Navy Veteran and a retired Maintenance Supervisor for Ethyl Corporation (Houston/Pasadena, Texas). He was a member of Scotts Hill Methodist Church. Mr. McCollum was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Hattie McCollum, and sister, Mrs. R.T. Mitchell. Survivors include his son, Craig McCollum (Judy); his daughter, Cindy Bell; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and longtime friend, Mrs. June Lemons. The family will receive friends at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill on Friday 4-8 PM and on Saturday 11 AM until time of service.
