J.B. Haynes, 82, of Ripley passed away Monday, October 31, 2022 at his residence. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 PM Thursday evening at First Baptist Church in Ripley. Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday at First Baptist Church with interment to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Garner Funeral Home of Ripley has charge of the services.
Mr. Haynes was a retired postal carrier and minister of Durhamville Baptist Church.
The husband of Martha Haynes, he is survived by a daughter Wendy Breen (Jimmy) of Atoka; 2 sisters Jean Mills (Tommy) of Ripley and June Roark (Kenneth) of Lillian, AL; a brother Jimmy Haynes (Vicky) of Halls; 3 grandchildren Tim Broyles (Delorah), Angela Gray (Jason), and Tyler Haynes (Caitlin); 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Mark Haynes.
The family requests memorials be sent to the Gideons or Durhamville Baptist Church.
