DNA Evidence Lands Local Man Behind Bars in Year Old Burglary Case; John Dave McGee, 47, Florence, was arrested this afternoon by Florence Police investigators and charged with burglary. He is accused of breaking into Mars Hill Bookstore (on Cox Creek Parkway) in September of 2012. Investigators in this case indicated that reports returned this week from the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences played a key role in this arrest. McGee was transferred to the LCDC.
