Theodore Graves, 69, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at New Albany Health and Rehabilitaion Center.

Funeral Services honoring the life of Mr. Graves will be 11 AM Thursday, July 13, 2023, in the Heritage Chapel of The Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Visitation will be 5 PM until 8 PM, Wednesday July 12, and will continue Thursday, July 13 from 9 AM to service time at The Ripley Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born December 8, 1953, in Tippah County, Mr. Graves was the son of the late Isaac Lamar and Opal Irene Stepp Graves. He received his education from Falkner High School and was a  truck driver for over 50 years with different company’s such as Action and Barclay.

A Baptist, Mr. Graves was a simple man who believed in “good ole fashion” values and hard work.  An outdoorsman, his real passion was Pony Pulling along with hunting and auctions  Mr. Graves loved his grandchildren, spoiled them any chance he got and always looked forward to their trips to Dollar General. He was great father, grandfather, and friend, who will be missed deeply.

Those left to cherish his memories include one daughter, Jeannie Irene Graves, two sons, Kyle Graves (Amber Swords), and Grahm Lyons, three sisters, Syble Cook, Hermie Henry, and Jean Reaves, one brother, Jimmy Graves (Pam), the mother of his children, Neva Graves, and three great grandchildren, Aubrie, Kase, and Huntlee Graves.

He is also preceded by two sisters, Grace Beavers and Cindy Graves, and three brothers, Tommy, Ray, and Billy Graves.
