Isla Hope Lesley It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Isla Hope Lesley, age 7, of Anniston, Alabama. Isla passed away on August 22, 2024, at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, leaving behind a family and community who adored her. Isla’s life, though short, was filled with immense love, joy, and a spirit that brightened the lives of everyone around her.
Isla was a vibrant little girl with an infectious smile and a heart full of love. She was the cherished daughter of Brett Lesley and Spencer Lesley, who together nurtured her kind and adventurous spirit. Isla was the youngest sister to a large, loving family, including Morgan Berry, Madilyn Lesley, Cecilie Coleman, Harley Lesley, Riley Lesley, Jordan Lesley, Blake Lesley, and Eli Coleman. She was also the proud aunt to her niece Everly Berry and nephew Archer Berry, roles she embraced with joy. Her mother, Brett Lesley and stepfather, Jake Coleman, will now be lost without her.
Her grandparents, Barbara Stone, Mary Wilson, Allen Davis, and Cecil Coleman, were blessed to witness her growth and were a constant source of support and love in her life. Isla was preceded in death by her father, Spencer Lesley, who undoubtedly greeted her with open arms as she joined him in Heaven.
Isla was a child full of wonder and curiosity. She loved Buzz Lightyear and SpongeBob, characters that brought endless laughter and excitement into her world. She was a budding gymnast, always eager to learn new tricks, and she embraced every challenge with determination and enthusiasm. Her love for her family was unmatched, and she found great delight in the friendly sibling rivalries that brought them all closer together.
Isla was the ultimate snuggle buddy, bringing warmth and comfort to those she loved. She had a special talent for dancing and painting, expressing herself in ways that brought joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her laughter, her kindness, and her bright personality made her the absolute joy of her family.
Isla’s departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but the memories of her vibrant life will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched.
Visitation for Isla Hope Lesley will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, after which Isla will be laid to rest at Marshall Memorial Cemetery. The family invites all who knew and loved Isla to join them in celebrating her beautiful life.
