Iris Virginia “Tea” Bell, 88 of Scant City passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, at her residence. Tea was born July 5, 1936 in Marshall County the daughter of Luther Leon Scott and Flora Nunn Scott. She was married to Billy Joe Bell for 45 years at the time of his passing May 27, 2017.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Sandra Hulsey (Randy), Tammy Aziz (John), Terri Haga (Scott), Kay Scott, Lynne Wisener (Mark), Michael Scott (Hannah) and Neal Scott; five great nieces, six great nephews, three great great nieces, two great great nephews, two great great great nephews and one great great great niece; sisters-in-law: June Scott and Cathy Scott. She was preceded in death by her husband: Billy Joe Bell; parents: Leon and Flora Scott; sister: Wynell Kelley (Tate); brothers: Kenneth Scott (Barbara), Billy Ray Scott and LJ Scott; sister-in-law: Linda Scott; nephew: Mitch Scott and great niece: Jennifer Blackmon.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Brother Mark Wisener officiating and eulogy by Scott Haga. The burial will be in Sweet Home Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers: John Luke Gilreath, Nick Smothers, Blake Aziz, Wesley Aziz, Jake Wisener, Mason Blackmon and Caleb Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers: Michael Scott, Ritchie Blackmon, Randy Hulsey, Dylan Gilreath and Leland Scott.
