Irene Miller, age 86, of Albertville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and member of Southside Baptist Church, Irene was known for her loving spirit and dedication to her family. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Bruce Miller; her son, David (Regina) Miller; daughters, Linda Carnes and Lisa Upton; siblings, Jan (Danny) Johnson, Betty Cornelius, and Carl (Wanda) Shirey; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Morgan (Chris) Brown, Justin (Brooke) Miller, Haley (Justin) Rowell, Alec Upton, Breanna (Alex) Ross, and Laine (A.J.) Walden, along with five great-grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ione Shirey; her son-in-law, Kenny Upton; and her sisters, Sue Sims and Elaine Partridge.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Adams Brown Funeral Service, with visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Boaz. Pallbearers will be Richard Carnes, Justin Rowell, Alex Ross, A.J. Walden, Chris Brown, Shawn Brown, and Bryce Brewton. Irene’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
