Ira Joe TaylorIra Joe Taylor, age 74, of Hamilton, AL, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services and burial to follow in Smyrna Cemetery in Detroit, AL.  Bro. Ronald Dillard to officiate.  Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Honorary Pallbearers: Randy Dill and Kenneth Hollis

 

Ira was born on September 11, 1950 in Beaverton, AL to the late Johnnie Curtis Taylor and the late Pauline Dill Taylor.  He graduated from Sulligent High School and Northwest Community College.  He previously worked and retired from Continental Conveyor in Winfield, AL.  He was a horse enthusiast and loved being outdoors, especially going deer, coon and squirrel hunting.  He was also known to be an avid historian and enjoyed socializing with family and friends any chance he could.  His loving memory will always be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Debbie (Jackie) Haley, Hubbertville, AL

Grandchildren: Jase Taylor and Josie Taylor
