Funeral for Ira Eugene “Nudy” Lovett, 79, of Hillsboro will be Saturday, August 23, 2014, at noon at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother R.C. Borden officiating. Burial will be in Graham Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until service time.
Mr. Lovett, who died Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at his home, was born March 8, 1935, in Lawrence County to Orey and Nora Lovett. He was a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Tennis Lovett and L.C. Lovett; two sisters, Helen Smith and Rachel Smith; and special friend, Doris Compton.
Survivors include one son, James Rickey and wife, Bridgett; three grandchildren, Jeremy and wife, Amanda, Tabitha Reynolds and husband, Bobby, and Julia Barmore and husband, Adam; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Tula Mae Henson.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Henson, Carl Lovett, Kenny Joe Smith, Dexter Allen, D.J. Allen and Cotty Smith.
