Funeral service for Ira Bee “Poodle” (White) Goode Gray, age 79, of Hillsboro, will be 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Milwee officiating. Mrs. Gray, who died Saturday, April 6, 2024, at her residence, was born October 15, 1944, in Alabama to James Homer White and Nellie Ragan White. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Shelby Dee Goode and Willard Leon Gray; her parents; and 11 siblings, Tennis Cory White, Lennis Roy White, James Troup White, Robert Lee White, Jimmy Dee White, Cecil Benny White, Hubert Freeman White, Lydon Edward White, Esther Ree Harris, Anna Vee Goode, and Rita Lee White. In her younger days she loved playing softball and bowling. Her favorite destination was the Smoky Mountains.
She is survived by a host of nephews and nieces, and her special friends, Karon Coffey and Mary Sturdivant.
Pallbearers will be Heath White, Ben White, Justin McCary, Jeff Hargrove, DeeKota Goode, and DeNeal Goode. Honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Voss, Gary Coan, and Sandy Armor.
