Ingeburg Schoberl Maroney  Ingeburg (Inge) Maroney, 89 years old of Elkmont, AL., died on Thursday, July 18, 2024, in her home, she was born on December 17,1934 in Regensburg, Germany. She was the daughter of the late Josef and Therese Schoberl.

She was of the Catholic faith, later was Baptized at Liberty Baptist Church. She loved cooking German food for her family. She enjoyed listening to German music, was a good bowler, enjoyed crocheting as well as playing bingo. She also loved her dogs and her “Kitty.”

She is preceded in death by the love of her life Rex Maroney, married for 47 years.

Surviving are her brothers, Josef & Wilhelm Schoberl, daughter Liane (Mark) Myers of Waveland, MS. Son: Henry Reyes of Kingsport, TN., five grandchildren: Jacob (Natalie) Myers, Chandra Dalton, Maria Reyes, Bonnie (Chris) Glasgow, and Cassandra Myers. Nine great-grandchildren; Tyler, Alex, Reece, August, Ryleigh, Lennox, Baron, Charlie and Calvin, and many nieces and nephews in Germany, Hawaii, Alabama & Tennessee.

There will be a Visitation held for Mrs. Maroney at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM. A Chapel Service is scheduled immediately after visitation to begin at 3:00 PM. Rev. Steven Butler will officiate the service.

Thanks to all who helped her during her struggles, laughs, smiles, especially- Hospice, Home Instead, family members, neighbors, and church people.

Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
