Inez Elizabeth Naylor LeCornu, age 88, passed away September 16, 2023, at her home.
She was born and reared in Gassaway, West Virginia the daughter of the late Merel E. Naylor and Cora E. Drake Hackworth. Her stepfather was Garnett Hackworth. She graduated from Clendenin West Virginia High School.
She married Charles Dean LeCornu in 1957. They moved to Henderson when Mr. LeCornu served as U.T. Agricultural Extension Agent in Chester County and Mrs. LeCornu worked as a teller at First State Bank nearly 33 years retiring in December 2000.
Mr. LeCornu passed in 2003.
Inez was an avid Bridge player. Many hours were spent around her kitchen table drinking coffee with her friends.
She was a member of First Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Mike LeCornu (Phyllis) and Keith LeCornu (Kerry) both of Henderson; daughter, Belinda Davidson (Richard) of Milan; sister, Barbara Galatro (Danny) of Henderson; three grandchildren, Kurt LeCornu, Kayce Kilzer, and Ryan Stanfill; and great grandchild, Reagan Kilzer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday September 18, 2023, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Keith Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Henderson City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue on Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
