Inaugural Town of Elkmont Christmas Celebration This Saturday

ELKMONT-On Saturday, December 4 the town of Elkmont will hold their first ever Christmas Celebration.  The event will kick off at 1:00PM with a parade and end the day around 5:15Pm with a tree lighting ceremony.  the event will be held in historic downtown Elkmont.

Schedule of Events
1 p.m. – Christmas Parade Downtown Elkmont
2 p.m. – Santa Arrives at Town Hall on Fire Truck — First 100 kids will receive a Christmas Ornament
2 p.m. to 5 p.m. – Downtown Elkmont merchants will be open to provide refreshments/snacks such as: Warm Apple Cider, Grinch Punch, Hot Chocolate, Coffee, Cookies, Summer Sausage Treats, and Grinch Chocolate Bark. Kids write your letters and drop off at Santa’s mailbox located outside Amy’s Collectibles & Antiques. Lindsey Lane North Campus Worship Pastor Will Stutts will lead a group of carolers in Christmas songs.
5 p.m. Elkmont Mayor Tracy Compton will dedicate the Elkmont Memorial Tree
5:15 p.m. Tinsel Trail Tree Lighting
This is the first year Elkmont has held a Tinsel Trail. There are 40 trees in the inaugural year.
“Everyone is invited and we look forward to enjoying and sharing in Elkmont’s unique small-town hospitality on Saturday,” said Elkmont Mayor Tracy Compton.
