Imogene Owsley, 100, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, September 23rd, 2021, at Athens Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Owsley was born on June 14th, 1921, to William B. and Jessie Mae Cashion Howell.
Mrs. Owsley is survived by her son Charles Milton Owsley (Serena) of Athens, AL; grandchildren Allison Patterson (Heath) of Chattanooga, TN, Rachel Laxson (Jared) of Athens, AL, and Jonathan Phillip Owsley of Athens, AL; great-grandchildren Hayes Patterson, Wells Patterson, Brooks Patterson, Mary Gail Laxson, and Madeline Laxson; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband John Milton Owsley; parents William and Jessie Howell; and brother Ralph Wyatt Howell.
Graveside service for Mrs. Owsley will be Sunday, September 26th, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery, with Bill Irby officiating. Visitation will be September 26th, 2021, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Owsley are Jonathan Owsley, Heath Patterson, Jared Laxson, Billy Anderson, Wyatt Howell, and Russell Johnson. Burial is at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Owsley was a member of Hobbs Street Church of Christ and served with The National Evangelism with Sojourners. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and cooking.
