Funeral for Imogene McKay Gillespie, age 77, of Decatur will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Fuller, Rev. Neal Fowler, and Rev. Danny Brooks officiating. Interment will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gillespie, who died Sunday, February 5, 2023, at her residence, was born June 24, 1945, to Dee and Elvie (Brown) Brooks. She was a member of Parkway Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Aubrey McKay and Fred Gillespie; and sister, Irene Brooks.
She is survived by her brother, Billy Brooks; two sisters, Mary Fuller (Darrell) and Sylvia Hill (Randall); and a host of nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Devin Cross, Austin Keeton, Phillips Brooks, Hunter Smith, David Cross, Steven Shinall, Wesley Waters, and Chris Keeton.
