Imogene McCoy, 95, of Iuka, MS, died Tuesday, April 17, 2016, at the Country Cottage in Corinth. She was known to all nieces and nephews as “Pud”. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. She also loved her family and church family. She was the valedictorian of Holcut High School, an active member of Fifth Street Baptist Church, and she worked for the Extension service in the 1940’s. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Dr. Tony Curtis. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery. Pallbearers include Lymon Mitchell, Neal Mitchell, Larry Ross, Jay Hammock, Charles Spencer, and Ronald Tigner. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by 1 sister in law – Mary McCoy 5 nieces, Becky, Susan, Patricia and Cheryl McCoy, and Brenda Bumpus Brown; 1 nephew, Danny Bumpus (Dianne) of Red Bay, AL; 7 great nieces – Sherry Ross (Larry) of Corinth, Loretta Mitchell (Lymon) Corinth, Wendy Tigner (Ronald) of Iuka, Misty Spencer (Charles) of Red Bay, AL, Lisa Smith (Carl) of Tuscumbia, AL, Denita Glenn (Ricky) of Muscle Shoals, AL, and Donna Brown of Muscle Shoals, AL; 6 great great nieces – Katie Ross Daugherty of Charlotte, NC; Lauren Ross (Matt); Holly Garner (Chris) of Iuka; Misty Clark (Josh), Marley Tigner, and Leigh Ann Mitchell Hammock (Jay) of Reinzi; 2 great great nephews – Neil Mitchell (Carrie) and Logan Spencer; 6 great great great nephews – Brandon, Lee, and Caleb Garner; Mack Mitchell; Cooper Clark; and Parker Young; and 4 great great great nieces – Blaklie Mitchell, Mckinley Hammock, Jana Kate Hammock; and Maryanne Hammock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Therman L. McCoy; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Bumpus; a sister, Captola McNeil (Winford); a brother, Colemen Bumpus (Frances); and 4 nephews, James Harold McNeil (Kate), Kenneth Merle McNeil (Barbara), and Howard Wendell McNeil, and Percy Brown; and one niece, Linda McNeil McClung (Tom).
