Imogene (Jean) Henson Cummings of Collinwood, TN was born March 6, 1936 in Cypress Inn, TN the daughter of the late Aaron and Vicie Reaves Henson. Mrs. Cummings died Thurssday, June 12, 2014 at Wayne County Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 3 Months, 6 Days. She was a secretary at a garment factory and more recently was a foster grandparent at Collinwood Elementary School. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband James Andy Cummings of Collinwood, TN,
a daughter, Judy Beckham and husband Tommy of Cypress Inn, TN, a son, Tim Cummings and wife Paula of Waynesboro, TN, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, a sister, Alphie Tilley and a brother, Junior Henson both of Collinwood, TN, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs Cummings was preceded in death by a son, Terry Cummings, and a brother, Arlie Henson.
Services will be Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with John Allen Berry and W. L. Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Collinwood Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
