Imogene “Jean” H. McLendon passed away December 29, 2018. She was born August 20, 1932. Jean will be forever remembered by her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, Byron Alton McLendon, and their children, Dean Byron McLendon (Teresa) and Tina McLendon Rogers. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sean Curtis Rogers (Kathryn Pawlick), Chaz Hoover Rogers, Lane Allison McLendon, and Anna Kate McLendon.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Houston S. Holland and Inez Wesley Holland; sisters, Christine Chambliss (Albert), Doris Smithson (Jack); and son-in-law, Curtis Hoover Rogers, Jr.
A memorial service celebrating Jean’s life will be held on Saturday, January 5th at Jackson Way Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL at 11:30 a.m. with Bro. Lenn Knight officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
The graveside service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, AL at a later date for the immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Jackson Way Baptist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
