Imogene Dean King Imogene (Jean) Dean King, age 82, of Fort Payne, AL passed away on June 3, 2024, surrounded by those closest to her. Born October 29, 1941 in Valley Head, the daughter of Bernard and Lillie (Wright) Dean.

Jean was retired from Compass Bank after 25 years. She was a lifelong member of Whitehall Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife of 60 years, a loving mom, a compassionate grandmother and a beloved friend to many.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Moses officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitehall Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. hour of service.

Jean is survived by her husband, Bobby King; her children, Layne King of Huntsville, Benita K. Cooper (Lindsey Cooper) of Mount Pleasant SC; as well as her grandchildren Hogan Kelly, Houston Kelly, Hudson Kelly, Colby King Roberts (Bryant Roberts), and Brody King.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Lillie Dean; as well as her brother, Don Dean.

Jean will be so deeply missed, but we grieve with hope knowing she is living her best days with her Lord and Savior whom she loved so dearly.
