Ignacio Torres, 71, from Iuka, died Thursday, April 14, 2016, at his home. He was born on January 10, 1945. He served in the United States Navy aboard several ships; most notably the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise. Ignacio was a strong Christian man and worked for Lockheed Martin Corporation as an electrical technician for 37 years. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, from 10am-2pm at Cutshall Funeral Home. A graveside service, including burial with military honors will follow at 3pm. Burial will be at the Springhill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Midway. Cutshall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Glenda Gail Morton Torres of Iuka; one son, Michael Morton Torres of Marietta, Georgia; one daughter, Bethany Ann (Torres) Smith and husband Brian of LaGrange, Ohio; 6 stepsisters and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mercedez Torres of Saginaw, Michigan. Pallbearers were Michael Torres, Danny Ryan, Nicholas Phillips, Royce Hopkins, Billy Carol Patterson, and Randy Stringer.
