Ida Kathleen “Kathy” Boyd, age 64 of Decherd, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems in Winchester. She was born on June 23, 1959, in Coffee County to the late Vernon Lewis and Dorothy Jean (Gold) Dickerson. She was employed as a customer service representative for over twenty years at Farm Bureau in Decherd. She enjoyed working in her flowers and gardening, attending sporting events for her nieces and nephews (never missing a game), as well as cooking for her family and friends. Kathy was a dedicated member of Prairie Plains Baptist Church, where she was active in all aspects of church work. Her family and friends will miss her kind, generous, selfless nature, as she was always putting others above herself. Kathy is survived by her loving husband of forty-four years, Mike Boyd of Decherd; daughter, Kasey (Aaron) Phillips of Clarksville; sisters, Regina (Bobby) Finney of Decherd, and Darlene (Greg) Holcomb of Hillsboro; nieces, Holly (Nathan) Luechauer, Staci (Jeff) Sons, and Amanda (Kevin) Hill; nephews, Justin (Amanda) Gilliam, Josh Parker, and Aaron Parker; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 17, 2023, in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Eddie Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Gum Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to Debbie’s Dream Foundation or Prairie Plains Baptist Church Building Fund.
