Ida Bell Oliver – Obituary

IdaIda Bell Oliver, 86, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehab.
She was born Oct. 4, 1926, in Tishomingo County to George and Jean Prestige Ashley. She served her church as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of Verona First Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker, owned and operated a fabric store and assisted her husband, Mr. Oneal, in his construction company. She enjoyed sewing and reading but got the most enjoyment by being a wife, mother and grandmother.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Marc Howard officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Harris (Ron), of Tupelo, and Judy Miller (Ray), of Verona; four sons, Edwin Oliver (Sarah), of Tishomingo, John Oliver (Linda), of Red Bay, Ala., Larry Oliver, of Tupelo, and Billy Oliver (Brenda), of Tupelo; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years, Oneal Oliver, who died on July 17, 2013, four sisters, Virginia Pendegraph, Leona Garrison, Pearl Ashley and Estelle Bostick, and five brothers, Perdie Ashley, Ray Ashley, Alfred Ashley, Earvin Ashley and Dewey Ashley.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Mark Harris, Brian Oliver, Patrick Oliver, Greg Oliver, Chris Oliver, Joey Horton and Christopher Oliver.
Visitation will be 5–8 p.m. Monday.
