Icie McKay Smith, 97, formerly of Winfield, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Decatur Morgan General Hospital. She is survived by two daughters, Maylene (Frank) Cobb of Irving, Texas, and Betty Bowers of Athens; one son, Bill (Faye) Smith of Trinity; eight grandchildren, Faith Epley, Melody Bowers, Stacey Adams, Larry Pugh, Rick Smith, Randy Smith and Rusty Smith; 14 great- grandchildren; four great-great-
grandchildren; and her caregivers, Martha Myers, Virginia Hutto, Shelby Johnson, Denise Silas, Debra Butler, Janet Rogers and Karen Burks.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 26, at 1:30 p.m. from the Miles Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery with Jonathon Smith officiating. Visitation will be from noon until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Winfield Free Will Baptist Church, the Southside Baptist Building Fund or the charity of your choice .
